My Thoughts:
Ever After by Rachel Lacey is a fun romantic comedy featuring animal rights activist Olivia Bennett and the hottie Sheriff’s Deputy, Pete Sampson. Olivia is not having the best birthday ever. She gets drunk and decides that doing a little graffiti would be a perfect way to celebrate. Great intentions, but the worst decision ever. Olivia gets caught and arrested by Pete Sampson, the deputy on duty. The chemistry starts sizzling from the start between these two, despite the fact that they are complete opposites. Drawn to each other over and over again, can these two overcome their differences to achieve their happily-ever-after?
I absolutely loved this book. It reminds me a lot of the Animal Magnetism series by Jill Shalvis. It’s funny and sweet with lively characters and adorable animals. Lacey’s writing is on point, and I loved the witty banter between the two main characters. The crazy antics that Olivia gets herself into in the name of animal rights had me laughing out loud. I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series. If you love romantic comedies I highly recommend you try this one.
