Ten Books I Picked Up On A Whim…

Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is “Ten Books I Picked Up On A Whim.”

Ugh the agony of this topic for me!

Truth is, most of the books I pick up are because I’ve seen them recommended on blogs or Booktube. This wasn’t always how I used to pick the books that ended up on my TBR pile. I used to just walk into the library or bookstore and pick whatever appealed to me at that moment. I actually kind of miss that impulsive side of reading that becoming a blogger has changed for me. I still occasionally do this when I go to the library, but it does not happen as often as it used to for me. That said, I have a few books I can share that I did pickup purely on a whim, just not 10.

I do want to say I have not read any of these yet. These books are sitting on my TBR shelf and so far I’ve managed to avoid spoilers. If you have read them feel free to let me know if you think I should push them up on my pile, but please no spoilers. So anyways let’s get on with it!

This was a shameless cover buy. I saw it on BookOutlet and fell in love with the cover. It was a super great deal too, so I couldn’t pass it up.

Also, a cover buy. Uh…most of these will be. I can’t help it! I’m a sucker for a pretty cover.

I’m not entirely sure what this one is about. I got a review copy from NetGalley. I saw it was set in Paris and I was like click “I want it!”

I picked this one up at a book festival in Tucson a few years ago. I have not read it yet. The cover is just gorgeous and the illustrations inside the book are beautiful. I’m not sure what it is about, I’ve been avoiding reading the synopsis. I do know it is a story within a story though, so those are always fun to dive into.

I also have no clue what this one is about. The cover is absolutely beautiful and it was sale on BookOutlet so I couldn’t pass it up. BookOutlet is the reason why my TBR pile is now taking over two bookshelves.
