Holy hot cowboys! I do love the McCord brothers. They work hard, play hard, and love intensely. Blame It On The Cowboy, the latest installment in Delores Fossen’s McCord Brothers series is about Logan McCord, the older responsible brother. An upstanding member of his community, he is the type of man that takes pride in his control. All that goes out the window the moment he meets Reese Stephens. She is so completely not his type, but after a drunken game of word association he agrees to have a night of no strings attached sex with her.
I loved Reese and Logan’s love story. They are complete opposites, but balance each other out perfectly. The two share some steamy chemistry that is downright undeniable. Although, the sexual tension between them is there from the beginning this is not an insta-love romance. Reese has skeletons in her closet that make her commitment shy and Logan is getting over a failed relationship. The two have plenty of issues to work through on their road to happily-ever-after.
Overall, Blame It On The Cowboy is a fun and enjoyable read. There were a few minor subplots I felt distracted from the main plot line, but other than that I think the story flowed well. Reese and Logan are both very likable characters and I was rooting for their HEA throughout the book. If you like romantic comedies set in a small town setting with hot cowboys then you’ll want to give this series a try.
