COYER is celebrating it’s 5th anniversary and there are so many awesome things happening this round. COYER is hosted by Berls and Michelle from Because Reading. This round of COYER will run from 12 am EST on June 9th to 11:59 pm on August 31st. The sign up linky will be open until July 9th. Please check out the Coyer Challenge website for more info on how to sign up.
I can’t wait for a new round of COYER to start. Since this is the summer round of COYER pretty much anything goes as far as the format I read the book in and where I obtained the book or how much the book cost. I love the freedom that comes with the summer round of COYER. That said though, my plan is to primarily read and review books from my backlog of review books. I’ve been slowly working away at it and I’m hoping COYER will give me the added boost that I really need right now.
Normally I would not create an actual tbr list for COYER and just wing it. I’m still going to do that for the most part. I want to be able to participate in as many of the extra birthday games as I can though so I’ll create a list of the books that are high priority for me during this round. I’ll share my tbr list with you a minute, but first I need to set my goal for this round of COYER.
There are three different levels:
- Lightly Clean – 1 to 10 books
- Spring Clean – 11 to 20 books
- Deep Clean – More than 20 books
As I mentioned previously, I have some serious backlog building up on my review list so I’m going to set my goal at the Deep Clean level. Ambitious, I know but I really need to catch up.
There will be five readathons included in this round of COYER. I can’t participate in all five because my main goal is to read my review books. I would like to participate in the two readathons listed below. I’m pretty confident that I will be able to find review books on my Kindle to fit in with these challenges.
- Dusting Off The Shelves: Read the oldest books in your physical or e-library. They have to have sat on your shelf for at least 1 year. Read-a-thon runs Sunday July 29th 12am EST to Saturday August 4th 11:59pm EST
- Scary Stories by the Campfire!:Read about ghosts, goblins, and any other horror/thriller that would make for a scary campfire tale!Read-a-thon runs Sunday August 5th 12am EST to Saturday August 11th 11:59pm EST.
I’m also hoping to play the COYER bingo games, participate in at least one Twitter chat, and survive Hurricane Berls. I think I can do it.
Here is my TBR:

These are all books I have received for review via NetGalley or Edelweiss. Some of these books have already been released and some are not scheduled to be released until later this year. I will be reviewing each of these books on the blog along with weekly updates letting you know my progress during COYER.
Let’s chat down below. Will you be participating in COYER? Which challenge level did you decide to tackle?
As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!
I am so glad this COYER turned out as big as it did. I think we are all going to have so much fun! I almost can’t wait to see how we all do! Lol. Good Luck with the challenge, Andie! 🙂

Thanks Michelle 🤗
I’m excited for all the mini challenges. I’m hoping this will also get me back into my reviewing routine.
