Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks!
Hi friends! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. I’ve been working on filming and editing videos for the end of the year all morning. It is very time-consuming but I do enjoy the process. I have also been doing my best to work through the last book off of my Grinchathon TBR. That said let’s jump into this week’s haul.
I also was able to get the following eBooks on sale on Amazon via their Kindle daily and monthly deals.
I will admit both are cover buys but also how could I not pick up this cute middle-grade book. I love books about books so I can’t wait to dive into the Pages & Co book. It looks like it is part of a series too so if I like it I have more books to read in the series.
Next up are the books I received from publishers in exchange for review via NetGalley. I feel so incredibly blessed to have been approved for these three books because they are on my anticipated 2022 new releases list.
Hide is set in an abandoned haunted amusement park. That’s all I needed to know to click on the request button, then I was like oooh this is by Kiersten White and it’s an adult book. Give me, please! When I got approved I legit squealed. Squealed I say! Needless to say, I’m excited to read this one.
As excited as I am to read Hide, I am beyond excited. There are no words. I was freaking speechless when I got the approval for Shadow Fallen. If you’ve been with me for a while you know I absolutely adore the Dark Hunter series and all it’s spin-offs. Sherrilyn Kenyon is freaking QUEEN! Acheron is my bae, my fictional boyfriend, my fictional crush for life. I just love him so much. I love the world Kenyon has created. As far as I’m concerned Kenyon can just keep writing books in this world and I’ll be a happy book panda. Yes, panda. If you know then you know. It is everything in me not to toss aside my December TBR books to sink into this book.
I don’t remember if I’ve read anything by Claire Douglas before but oh em gee that cover. That cover got me y’all. I was like I need to read this because it looks creepy AF. You all know how much I love me a creepy thriller. The Couple at Number 9 is described as “a heart-pounding psychological thriller about a couple who inherit what seems to be their dream home, until they make a horrifying discovery–and the danger begins.” Heck, yeah! Sold! Sign me up! I looked on Goodreads and this author has quite a backlist so I have more books to read if I end up enjoying this one.
Finally, I get to share my BOTM reads with you. I completely forgot what I had selected but I got my box this week and I’m so happy with my picks. I already read one of these as an ARC and my review will be coming up soon. I’m happy to have the physical copy though so I can transfer my annotations from the eGalley to my book.
That’s all the books I’ve added to my TBR this week. Have you read any of these or put them on your 2022 anticipated new releases list? Do you subscribe to BOTM? If you do what did you select for your December box?
Let’s chat down below. Have you read these? Did you do an STS post? Do you have any book recommendations for me? Please let me know down below so I can check them out.
As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!
