Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and Reading Reality all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in a physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts, and of course ebooks!
Hi friends! I hope you are all doing well. To those of you that celebrate I wish you and yours a Happy Holiday weekend. I’m spending my holiday weekend back in my hometown with my mom and family. I finally get to meet my cousin’s baby and hold him in my arms this weekend. I’m so excited and happy. I’ve been waiting a while to meet him. Best Christmas present ever in my opinion. I don’t think anything will really top that for me.
Speaking of gifts and things that make me happy I treated myself to some more Kindle deals this week. I also got a few more books for review. Let’s go ahead and jump into my haul. If you have read of these I’d be interested to know which ones you think I should read sooner rather than later so be sure to let me know down below in the comments.
I also was able to get the following eBooks on sale on Amazon via their Kindle daily and monthly deals.
I heard really good things about Ace of Shades so I knew I couldn’t pass up the Kindle deal on that one. The Heir Chronicles is a series I’ve been meaning to read for a while but I was waiting to find the books at a discount. Thank goodness for the holiday daily deals! I was able to pick up all five books in the series so I will be reading these in 2022. The other books were books I had heard about on Booktube and were such a good price I figured why not pick up a copy for my Kindle to read at some point.
Next up are the books I received from publishers in exchange for review via NetGalley and Edelweiss. As always I feel so incredibly blessed when I get books from publishers to read for review. It’s a wonderful privilege to be given this opportunity and I’m very grateful.
Court of Venom is a fantasy set in a dry desert landscape. Per Goodreads, “The desert has taken Badriya’s mother, her friends, and even her freedom. Using her magic and alchemy, she desperately tries to save the one thing that the sands have not stolen: her future.” I am so intrigued and I can’t wait to jump into this one. Also how gorgeous is the cover? Love it!
Speaking of beautiful covers, the one for Together We Burn is just…chef’s kiss! Am I right or am I right? I admit it was the first thing that caught my eye. Then I read this description on Goodreads “An ancient city plagued by dragons. A flamenco dancer determined to save her ancestral home. A dragon hunter refusing to teach her his ways. They don’t want each other, but they need each other, and without him, her world will burn.” Yes! I was sold. Sign me up! Let me read please. Oh man I was so happy when the publisher approved me for this one. I cannot wait. Literally cannot even! I might just bump it up on my TBR to read during New Years’ weekend.
That’s all the books I’ve added to my TBR this week. Have you read any of these or put them on your 2022 anticipated new releases list?
Let’s chat down below. Have you read these? Did you do an STS post? Do you have any book recommendations for me? Please let me know down below so I can check them out.
As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!
