WWW Wednesday 01/05/22

Hi friends! It’s WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words. To participate you just answer the three Ws.

  • What have you read?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What will you read next?

What have you read?

I have been having a pretty fantastic reading week so far. I was fortunate to be approved for the audiobook via NetGalley for A Flicker in the Dark. Wow, that was a ride! I’ll be posting my review for it on the blog soon.

I finally picked up There Will Come A Darkness off my shelves. I’ve had this one since it came out and then forgot I had it. Classic Andie. This was a fast paced and plot driven YA fantasy. I enjoyed the political plays and the premise. I wished there the characters were developed a bit more and the world was more detailed. But I really enjoyed the plot and I’m hoping the issues I had with the first book will get fixed during the rest of the series. I can’t wait to pick up the rest of the books.

The Bookwanderers by Anna James was such a fun and adventurous read. I really loved it. This is the first book in the Pages & Co. which is a middle-grade fantasy series. I am thankful to have received a review copy from the publisher via NetGalley. My book review will be posted here on the blog soon.

What are you currently reading?

I’m participating in the Green Bone Saga-a-long hosted by MelReads on Booktube. So far I’m around 100 or so pages in and loving it. I don’t own a copy of it yet but luckily enough I was able to get the eBook on Scribd. I know this will be something I want to re-read and annotate though so I need to get myself a copy soon.

I received a copy of Hide by Kiersten White from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I’m hoping to finish this one by the end of the Winterween readathon. So far it is a very intense read but I expected no less from this author based on my last reading experience with her work. I’ll post my review as soon as I’m done with reading it.

What will you read next?

These two are up next on my January TBR list. I’m excited to get into the latest installment of the Veronica Speedwell series. It is one of my favorite historical mystery series and I can’t wait to see what Veronica is up to in this one. I did receive this one as an advanced reader copy via NetGalley. I’ll be posting the review here on the blog as soon as I can finish reading it.

A Hero for Wandla is the second book in The Search for Wondla series. I read the first book a few years ago but have not gotten around to finishing the series yet. I do own all the books so I’m going to try and finish it this year before I forget again.

That’s it for this week’s WWW Wednesday post. If you posted one on your blog please leave the link in the comments so I can check it out.

As always keep on reading and stay book nerdy my friends!

Lots of love,
